What is happening in the Arctic? SMART Practice Project!

What is happening in the Arctic? Are we really asking this question? The right answer is: SO MUCH! Ever heard of SMART Practice Project?

SMART Practice Project is Erasmus+ and European Union founded project with the duration 1.9.2015 – 31.8.2017. The aim of the project is to encourage, provide and teach students certain skills which are needed for better employability on the labor market.

At the end of September 2016 the SMART Practice seminar was held at Lapland University of Applied Sciences and it was a success! In the morning there was a seminar with 5 speakers who were encouraging students of Lapland UAS to be active, not to be afraid of failure and to try to work on any idea, even though it doesn’t seem successful at the moment, it can be after working on it. Motivating students into entrepreneurship and talking about the “real stuff” was really valuable and helpful for everyone who participated!

In the afternoon workshop was running at the university premises in the form of Learning Café. The main aim was to create new innovative possibilities to develop better methods of practical trainings for students, improve relationships and demands between companies and trainees during their training periods. The results of the workshop were incredible! Over 100 new ideas in only 45 minutes!
