Event which brings together entrepreneurs, music, folklore and amazingly friendly atmosphere? Ever heard of Urkult festival? You should have!
Urkult is a folk festival for all kinds of people. A meeting place and a source for inspiration. It is an eco-friendly, hippie-style world music festival organized every year in August in Näsåker – Sweden since 1995. Along concerts on various stages the program consists of activities such as theatre for children, crafts, workshops and poetry what is making it different from other music festivals organized in Sweden.
This festival is great opportunity for entrepreneurs to present their businesses BUT also for anyone who is interested in entrepreneurship. Why? You can see the real entrepreneurial experience, talk with entrepreneurs about the challenges and maybe even get inspired and get your own entrepreneurial idea.
Student of Lapland UAS Nina Niskala visited this festival during August 2016 and as she is writing on the blog of InnoBarentsLab: “As a student this gave me an excellent opportunity to catch a glimpse of what it would be like to work as an entrepreneur. Up until now, I wasn’t sure whether I had what it takes to become an entrepreneur – but now I think I might highly likely to become one in the future after graduating.”

Internationality can be seen everywhere – entrepreneurs, musicians, visitors are from all over the world! The festival is supported by Creative Momentum project, Lapland UAS and also it is a part of Northern Periphery & Arctic Program (NPA) aiming to support entrepreneurs operating in creative sector in Northern Europe.
